Our Objective
At MRI, our mission is to improve patron safety and enhance event experience by delivering comprehensive medical coverage through our innovative Event Field Hospital structure. Our event medical provisions aim to relieve traditional medical centers, urgent care providers and Emergency Ambulance Services by operating our facilities with Emergency Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics capable of triaging, treating, diagnosing and prescribing where necessary.

MRI aims to deliver pop-up medical hubs capable of supporting public clinics with high influx, with the intent to relieve pressure or health providers, and support community health and wellbeing

Our Team
Dr Michael Murphy
Medical Director
MB, BS, Pharm B.Sc (Hons)
With over two decades of medical expertise, including 15 years in Emergency Medicine in New Zealand, Michael ensures that Medical Response Industries upholds the highest clinical standards.
Michael earned his degrees in Medicine and Pharmacology from University College London, subsequently gaining experience in over 20 hospitals across the UK and New Zealand. His journey into event medicine began in 2006 and 2007 as the event doctor for the Virgin Festival, UK, accommodating 35,000 campers and an estimated daily attendance of 80,000.
Relocating to New Zealand, Dr. Michael trained in diverse settings, from urban and regional Emergency Departments to Urgent Care facilities. His profound interest in resuscitation and toxicology is reinforced by a robust pharmacology background. Michael has extensive experience leading resuscitations and managing emergency departments.
Throughout his career, Michael has fostered strong relationships within hospital settings and with pre-hospital front-line services, enhancing collaborative care and ensuring seamless medical services. Committed to patient care and outcomes, Michael emphasizes communication, teamwork, and collaboration between patients, healthcare providers, and institutions.
